Gingivoplasty

Gingivoplasty or gingival plasty is the surgery to reshape the healthy gum that surrounds the tooth. Most of the time, the gingivoplasty surgery is preceded by that of gingiveectomy. Basically, first the resection of the diseased or hyperplasticized gigingivoplastiengival tissue is performed, and then the remaining gingival edges are reshaped in order to obtain a result as close as possible to the natural look.
